Tahj Miles has hinted at a sensational comeback to the hit series Death In Paradise.

Joining the BBC detective show in its tenth instalment, Tahj thrilled viewers as Marlon Pryce, the charming petty criminal turned police aid via a reformative initiative. The actor waved goodbye to Saint Marie last season as his character jetted off to Jamaica.

With past faces such as Camille Bordey and Florence Cassell reappearing, speculation is rife about Marlon's potential return, a possibility Tahj does not dismiss, but he has one condition.

Chatting to Radio Times, he commented: "I never say no to anything. My character didn't die, so the door's always open. But it just has to make sense. It all has to make sense. So just know that on my end, it made sense to me.

"And if you don't see me on the show for the next two, three years, just know that it doesn't make sense in that moment in time, for whatever reason, whether it's just what I'm doing personally in my life, the direction they're going in on the show, the direction they want to bring the character back into. If I'm back, it's because it makes sense."

Miles also noted that he would keep the door "open" to reprise his role in the future should the storyline call for it.

"I don't like doing things that don't make sense. That's when we get into a whole bunch of problems. But never say never. The door's open. So we'll see, we'll see," he shared about the possibility of making a comeback to the series.

Yet, another cast member has definitively put aside any thoughts of returning for the time being, expressing contentment with her experience but a desire to pursue new ventures.

During an Instagram Q&A with followers, Josephine Jobert, who portrays Florence Cassell, remarked: "Not really. I had a great time and I made the best out of it. I have amazing memories and met amazing people too. But it's time to move on.

"I think I can safely say no. I've already left and come back many times and I've definitely done my time on the show. I've finally been able to say goodbye to Florence and I am very grateful to have been part of this project that has brought so many lovely things in my life. I am also happy to be able to move on and take part in new projects."
