Jonathan Anderson Proves He Is a Contemporary Artist for LOEWE SS25

Jonathan Anderson and LOEWE are a match made in heaven. The Irish designer returned to Paris Fashion Week on Friday morning to present his Spring/Summer 2025 womenswear collection under gloomy Parisian downpours, inviting guests, including Emily Ratajkowski and Daniel Craig with an engraved gold ring as their entry.

LOEWE's signature colossal venue was kept bare, with a singular bird sculpture decorating the space sitting atop a 396-centimeter wooden pole by English artist Tracey Emin. Delicate instrumentals bounced from wall to wall with a classical breeze, transforming Mozart, Bach, Chopin, and Mane's floral paintings into wearable artwork.

Abstract flowers bloomed across the first three looks, floating in mid-air and held up by wired casing. Anderson's modernized silhouettes, a testament to his innovative design language, came to play with ballooning ponchos and preserved mini dresses, while shattered moto racing graphics were followed by furry cross-stitched tops and expanded two-toned suiting.

Mozart's 19th-century portrait was feathered on cropped T-shirts, ushered in by Van Gogh's 1890s Irises painting on inflated ensembles. Anderson presented cool girl uniforms for SS25, dressing models in slouchy single-breasted suits, swollen mini skirts, and winded leather car coats. Jonathan Anderson did what he does best at LOEWE, never disappointing and delivering an eye-opening spectacle honoring fashion's past, present, and future.
