ITV broadcast Catherine, Princess Of Wales annual carol service from Westminster Abbey tonight and the amount of the channel's stars in the audience didn't go unnoticed by viewers who took umbrage at the guest list and took to X to comment on it.

One queried: "Why is the whole cast of #GMB at the #royalcarols #togetheratchristmas? Please get BBC events producing this next year @KensingtonRoyal."

Another commented: "Please dont invite celebs or the usual ITV presenters next year, undermines what it's suppose to be about. #togetheratchristmas #royalcarols."

The same poster later added "Lovely see Princess Kate & children however the worst guest list celebs that have given nothing this year to be beacons for kindness or empathy. Next year no invites for all the ITV presenters please, kept expecting to see Phillip Schofield next #togetheratchristmas #royalcarols."

A third quipped: "Seriously Kate Garraway is invited must be for her experience as a full time carer #RoyalCarols."

A fourth chimed in: "Bit behind on #RoyalCarols but feels a bit like celebs blowing smoke up each others a**** currently."

"Some of these celebs would turn up for the opening of an envelope if there was a camera crew..... #RoyalCarols #togetheratchristmas," a fifth pointed out.

"I'm surprised Alison Hammond isn't there, shes everywhere! #royalcarols," a sixth opined.

However not everyone was annoyed at the celebrity guestlist and posted an image of Kate Garraway with a complimentary message.

"Happy Christmas to such a brave, kind lady @kategarraway I hope you have a fabulous time with your children #RoyalCarols."

The service featured performances from Jazz icon Gregory Porter and pop star Paloma Faith.

Meanwhile actors Richard E Grant and Michelle Dockery were amongst those doing readings.
