ITV This Morning viewers left asking same question as show descends into chaos
Chaos erupted on This Morning as confused viewers were left scratching their heads over why 'Spin To Win' is still a feature. On the Wednesday (January 8) episode, favourites Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley stepped in to present a mix of the day's headlines on the popular ITV show.
Things took a turn when the usually straightforward competition hit snag after snag as the duo struggled to land a single winner. A total of six potential winners lost their chance to pocket some cash when the phone lines seemed jinxed - wrong passwords or utterly no replies.
Launching into the game with gusto, Cat announced: "We've got lots of different cash prizes up for grabs from £250 to a jackpot of £1,000."
Ben issued a stern reminder to hopefuls: "Keep your phone close we could be calling you in just a moment and it's really important that you answer your phone with today's pass phrase and turn the telly down because it always helps."
But right out of the gate, the segment hit a low note as caller number one, Robert, gave them the cold shoulder, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Another hopeful botched it by forgetting the golden rule of leading with the crucial passphrase.

A beleaguered Cat quipped: "I think I'm losing my mind." Despite the warnings and second chances, it was a no-go, forcing Ben and Cat to soldier on with the programme.
Ben announced: "No one picked up today so this means we are going to spin and whatever it lands on now we are going to add to tomorrow's prize."

After the wheel was spun, it landed on £750, which will boost Thursday's show jackpot. Social media users were quick to voice their opinions on X, previously known as Twitter.
One person commented: "Baffles me the amount of people that enters Spin To Win but can't answer the phone or answer the phone in the correct way! If your going to enter at least be ready for them to phone they literally do it between the hours of 10-12:30 every day #ThisMorning."
Another disgruntled viewer stated: "Spin to Win needs to be cancelled. The prizes are dire and it is def not good viewing." Meanwhile, a different user questioned: "Why do these people bother entering Spin To Wins."
