Samsung Redefines Smart Kitchens With AI-Powered Grocery Management Features

Samsung is transforming the modern kitchen with its AI-powered smart refrigerators. This groundbreaking integration combines Samsung’s Vision AI technology with Instacart’s product-matching system to create an effortless grocery management experience.

The latest Samsung Bespoke smart refrigerators, including the 32-inch Family Hub Plus and the newly introduced 9-inch AI Home display models, feature advanced AI cameras. These cameras, positioned above the fridge door and inside the unit, track the addition and removal of items, maintaining a virtual inventory of the fridge's contents. While the system currently recognizes up to 37 frequently used items, such as fruits and vegetables, users can expand the inventory manually using the Samsung Food app.

Leveraging this real-time inventory data, the AI system identifies when supplies are running low and suggests replenishments via Instacart’s product matching API. Items can then be added directly to an Instacart cart through the fridge’s touchscreen interface, enabling users to place orders quickly and efficiently. This innovation not only saves time but also ensures that essential groceries are always within reach, simplifying the day-to-day demands of kitchen management.

The Instacart integration will roll out later this year via a firmware update for Samsung fridges equipped with AI Vision Inside. The feature will be available on the latest 2025 Bespoke models and select existing units in the Family Hub lineup.
