Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah was asked in the aftermath of his side’s 6-3 victory over Tottenham whether he had an update on his Reds future and bluntly exclaimed: “No.” The 32-year-old produced yet another sparkling performance as he bagged two goals and two assists for his team.

Salah, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, has now racked up a staggering 18 goals and 15 assists in all competitions this season.

But he is out of contract next summer and is yet to pen fresh terms with the Merseyside giants.

Salah is enjoying one of his finest seasons in a Liverpool shirt and has showed no signs of slowing down any time soon despite approaching his mid-30s.

His two goals against Spurs came either side of the hour mark, with his second strike putting the visitors 5-1 ahead. He also teed up Dominik Szoboszlai’s effort at the end of the first half as the Egypt international exploited space in the Spurs backline time and time again.

And Liverpool chief Arne Slot will be desperate to keep the 'Egyptian King' at Anfield beyond the end of the campaign.

After the final whistle had gone at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Salah was asked about becoming the Reds’ fourth highest scorer of all-time during an interview with Sky Sports.

And he explained: “It’s great to achieve that at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the game. Wherever I am going to end my career I am happy about it.”

He then insisted he wasn’t able to offer any fresh information about his future after previously speaking out about Liverpool’s lack of action with a new contract offer.

And discussing Sunday’s match, he added: “We were quite good up front but defensively we need to improve as a team. Conceding three goals is quite hard. It’s a good result, hopefully we just keep going.

“We expected that (a chaotic game), the way they play, they open the game, they enjoy their football, physically tough. And mentally we always have to be in the game.

“They don't change much the way they play, it’s intense. [Manchester] City came here and struggled, other teams too. I’m happy we won because they play an intense game.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher lauded Salah for his performance against Spurs after the clash had ended as he told Sky Sports viewers: “Unbelievable. He is a phenomenon.

“He is probably in the top five players to have ever played for Liverpool Football Club. Let's not forget, they're the most successful team in this country and they've had some legendary players.”
