With over 20 years of experience in the yachting industry, Adam Waters has seen the industry evolve. He has been at the forefront of bringing some of the most luxurious and innovative vessels to discerning customers across Australia and beyond. In this interview, Adam shares insights into his journey, the brands he represents, and what keeps him passionate about the yachting industry.
Ocean Magazine: We have known you and the Waters family in Australia for over 15 years. Can you tell us a little bit about how you first got into boating and your journey until now?Adam Waters: I’ve known the Ocean Media team for well over 15 years — actually I think it’s closer to 20 years now. It’s been an exciting ride from those early days at Jones Bay Wharf when we first opened the office. Our initial business was a family endeavour, beginning in 2002 with Beneteau Power Boats.
We built a great company based out of Jones Bay Wharf and then expanded by opening offices on the Gold Coast and in Perth. Slowly, as the business developed, we brought on the Ferretti Group brands.
