Hygge hype

Vripack’s latest project, the 41-metre superyacht Hygge, reflects the design studio’s focus on smart and efficient use of space. Although the yacht’s overall size is standard, its layout is distinctive. It offers a solution that accommodates the owner’s needs for accommodation, social spaces, and family activities while maximising space and functionality.

Built by MCP Yachts in Brazil, Hygge follows the earlier delivery of the Vripack-designed 37.46m Queen Tati, an award-finalist in 2023. The superyacht, which features exterior design and naval architecture by Vripack, is a custom explorer vessel. Due to restrictions on length imposed by the shipyard’s facilities, the designers opted for increased volume over extended length.

Hygge has the largest volume (380 GT) for a full-aluminium motor yacht constructed in South America. The yacht’s interior, designed by Leonardo Rotsen, accommodates 10 guests across seven guest cabins. This includes an upper deck owner’s suite with forward-facing views, his-and-hers bathrooms, and a private terrace. There is also accommodation for 10 crew.
