BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans certain they spotted couple 'kissing' in heated moment

Strictly: Pete Wicks and Jowita perform the paso doble

Strictly fans are buzzing after they believe they saw a "kiss" between TOWIE favourite Pete Wicks and his professional partner Jowita Przystal mid-performance.

The BBC show opened with an electrifying paso doble to The Prodigy's Breathe, serving up more stomp than usual. As Pete hit the deck, Jowita swooped in, their faces inches apart convincing eagle-eyed viewers that their lips made contact.

Social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, saw immediate reaction with one viewer commenting: "Was that a KISS between Pete and Jowita?" While another posted: "Plz tell me I'm not the only one who saw Pete kiss his dance partner during their routine just now?"

Others joined in the flurry of tweets, with one saying: "Obsessed with Pete just walking around for two minutes and kissing Jowita a few times!" And another added fuel to the fire, remarking: "I can already hear the rumours starting about Pete and Jowita!"

As Strictly Come Dancing returns for its 2024 season after a thrilling launch, week one offered the celebrities and their dance partners a first shot at impressing on the leaderboard with their debut dances, reports the Mirror.

Though the judges' remarks and scores will be tallied, the opening week spares all from elimination. Its in the second week where the stakes rise, leading to the first tearful farewell of the series.

Viewers will have the opportunity to participate when the lines open in week two next Saturday (September 28), and the first elimination of the series will air the following night (Sunday, September 29). All the action tonight will commence at 7pm on BBC One, but there will be no results show this weekend.
