Tony Khan On Why It Makes Sense To Book Ricochet vs. Will Ospreay So Soon

Ricochet and Will Ospreay are set to face off on October 2nd, and Tony Khan believes it’s a match that makes complete sense to book so soon. Fans were excited about the potential for another match between the longtime rivals once Ricochet came to AEW, and the match is already set for AEW’s fifth anniversary episode of Dynamite. Khan was asked in an appearance on Busted Open Radio why he booked the match so soon after Ricochet’s arrival, and he pointed to the “big stage” of the show’s fifth anniversary banner as a reason.

“That’s why I think it makes perfect sense with these big stages,” Khan said (per Fightful). “We have the greatest roster ever. There is an unlimited supply of huge matches. These are matches that have been building since the people arrived at AEW.”

Ricochet made his AEW debut at All In in the Casino Gauntlet match.
