Gogglebox star reunites with pal after 15 years following 'sad' divorce announcement

Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb was delighted as he reunited with his friend after 15 years, days after announcing his divorce from Daniel Lustig-Webb. The 52-year-old, best known for starring on the Channel 4 reality show, took to Instagram on Thursday (April 25) as he documented seeing his friend for the first time in more than a decade.

The gallery of snaps included one of Stephen waiting in the airport before he captured a video of his pal running towards him. The duo later beamed for a selfie as the reality star gushed over their reunion in the caption.

He wrote: "I’ve not seen this amazing person for 15 years! Reunited at last." Over the weekend, Stephen confirmed his marriage was over after six years.

Stephen told The Sun on Sunday: "It's with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we've unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways."

Meanwhile, Daniel said: "We've made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I’m sure we will forever be friends."

Daniel has also been active on social media since the announcement as he shared a shirtless snap on his Instagram on Tuesday (April 23).

Posing in nothing but a towel after a shower at the gym, the 43-year-old flexed his biceps as he pouted for the camera.

"Back to my workout with @andrewfarnsworth.coach," he penned alongside the snap.

Stephen first appeared on Gogglebox in 2013 alongside his then-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed. Stephen remained on the show with his late mum, Pat, before being joined by Daniel.

The couple got engaged in 2016 before tying the knot two years later. They left Gogglebox last year before Stephen was announced as part of the line-up of Dancing on Ice.

Unfortunately for the reality star, he was forced to pull out of the 2024 series after breaking his ankle. Doctors told him he would be on crutches for at least three months, meaning any hopes of getting back on the ice were dashed.

Sources close to Stephen said he was "devastated" after being given no option but to pull out of the competition. He was replaced by Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards.
