Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls called out by guest as fans slam 'awkward' interview
Good Morning Britain’s Ed Balls seemed slightly flustered on Wednesday morning while speaking to Helen Lederer. The actress was touching on whether or not she’ll be returning to Coronation Street after having a brief stint on the ITV soap.
Helen said: “I’m hoping I might go back...” Cutting in, Ed questioned: “For a second date?”
The guest continued: “For a second date, yes and follow through in a causal way as an older person. But I find...” Interrupting again, Ed asked: “Back to his apartment?”
Although it seemed as though Helen wasn’t going to allow Ed to continue cutting her off as she took a cheeky swipe at him. She jibed: “Yes, you keep finishing my sentences! Which is good, because I’m probably being quite slow.”
It wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the interview as some thought it came across as slightly awkward. @kEVIN1680178242 said: “Why will Ed Balls not let Sue out of Corrie finish a sentence keep butting in talking... Gets on your nerves.”

Praising Helen for calling Ed out, @nickwoodonline wrote: “Absolutely brilliant, stop finishing my sentence Ed [sic]. Go Helen [sic].”
@YouBearsssssss fumed: “How inappropriate is Ed Balls [sic]. Seriously he's a disgrace!”
One social media user added: “Jesus, Balls, let the woman speak.”

Elsewhere during their interview, Helen started to detail how she got onto the soap before calling out Ed again.
She commented: “I am alarmingly honest, it’s a bit of a problem. It’s not a bit of a compliment when people say- Ed you’re looking a bit perplexed I’m sorry.
“I’m talking too fast, I’m so excited to be with you!”
Although Ed told the guest he loved it as she carried on with her story.
