Emmerdale: Jai wipes away blood from phone

Emmerdale fans think Jai Sharma (played by Chris Bisson) has killed his biological father Amit (Anil Goutam) - but could he end up killing again? In dramatic scenes that aired on Wednesday night, Jai pushed Amit down the stairs, which is the same way Amit killed Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) - Jai's dad.

As the episode came to a close, Jai could be seen cleaning the carpet while on the phone to Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Amit's body was nowhere to be seen. Brushing off where he really was, Jai said: "I went to meet with that new drinks supplier."

"Yeah, I have just popped back into work...no I have just got a few things I need to clear up," Jai told his wife as he wiped blood from the skirting board. "No, nothing major. Is there anything you want me to pick up on my way back? No problem, you know me I like to make myself useful."

Before the credits rolled, Jai could be seen rolling a suitcase, but was Amit's body in it? Fans rushed to X to share their thoughts, and while many were thrilled that Jai got justice for Rishi, many predicted what had happened to Amit.

One theorised: "That was a very good episode of #Emmerdale tonight seeing Amit finally confess to killing Rishi. I bet Jai has gone full on hostage mode and keeping Amit held down in the cellar or something like that."

Another said: "Another 2 murderers added to the village list.......when will it end? more dangerous living in the dales than London at this rate!!#emmerdale."(sic)

"Meena side coming out in Jai. I. LOVVVEEEEE. ITTTTT HAHAHA," a third wrote.

A fourth went on: "Bit cold-blooded there mate Next serial killer in the village? #Emmerdale." (sic)

"What's Jai done with Amit #Emmerdale," someone else asked while another quizzed: "So is Amit in the suitcase? (Same as the actors character in Eastenders…..I think)" (sic)

One fan went on to question: "Wait is Amit dead????? #Emmerdale."

After Jai pushed Amit down the stairs, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) showed up and threatened to ring the police.

However, after Jai convinced him to leave, Eric warned: "Don't do anything really stupid."

"Not a chance, justice is finally on its way," Jai concluded before walking off.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
