The 2024 series of Strictly Come Dancing is on the brink of its grand finale, with the four finalists gearing up for their final performance in the iconic ballroom. The BBC One dance contest's final will take place this Saturday (December 14), and the couples who have made it to the last week were recently confirmed following the heartbreaking exit of Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal in the semi-final last weekend.

Their departure on Sunday night (December 8) confirmed Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, and Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec as this year's finalists. With just days left until they hit the dance floor, comedian Chris remains the favourite to win this weekend.

With odds of 1/20 and a 95% probability of victory, he's the shortest-priced Strictly frontrunner in the market's history - we've never seen a favourite this strong!

Meanwhile, JLS star JB has made a dramatic comeback. After being tipped to leave last week, he's now expected to finish as runner-up and has surged ahead in the betting markets at 1/16.

This spells trouble for actress Sarah Hadland, who had held onto her runner-up spot until now but has slipped to 25/1. , reports Manchester Evening News.

Despite this, she is still expected to finish in the top three. However, former Love Island star Tasha has suffered a significant setback.

Once the favourite to win, she now risks missing out on a top three finish altogether, with her odds drifting to 33/1. Betfred's Kayley Cornelius said: "The Glitterball trophy feels within reach for comedian Chris McCausland. With odds of 1/20 to win this weekend, he stands as the bookmakers' strongest favourite in the competition's history, boasting a massive 95% chance of victory. Yet, while Chris's win seems almost certain, the battle for second place is far less clear."

"Former JLS star JB Gill has staged a remarkable comeback. Once tipped for elimination last week, he's now expected to take the runner-up spot, surging ahead in the betting markets at 1/16. This shift spells trouble for Sarah Hadland, who had held onto second place but has now tumbled to odds of 25/1. Even so, she's still projected to secure a place in the Top 3."

"For Tasha Ghouri, it's been a significant setback. Previously the favourite to win, her chances of even finishing in the Top 3 now look slim, with her odds drifting to 33/1."
