Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Player stumped by tricky question
Who Wants to be a Millionaire was rebooted on ITV six years ago now with former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson taking over the presenting reins, replacing Chris Tarrant. Throughout its time on air the much-love quizzed show has seen a huge number of controversal moments from huge errors to 'fix' complaints.
The reboot happened in a bid to mark the show's 20th anniversary but six years on fans still can't get enough. It has been a global phenomenon since very first appearing on screens back in 1998.
The show sees hopeful contestants put their knowledge to the test in front of the nation as they try to answer the 15 questions to win the million-pound prize helped along the way by four lifelines of 50:50, Phone a Friend, Ask the Audience and Ask the Host. They get a chance to win a life-changing £1,000,000.
Here are some of the top moments that have happened on the ITV quiz show since Jeremy Clarkson took over.
One and only winner
Since Jeremy Clarkson began hosting the ITV show, only one contestant has won the top prize of £1 million. In September 2020, History and politics teacher Donald Fear impressed the nation as he walked away as a millionaire, making him the sixth winner overall.

He also made history by finishing as the first contestant with lifelines to spare, having only used the 50:50.
Jeremy, 64, was astonished as he branded him "best entrant in the programme’s history". The host also described tyhe player as "an encyclopaedia with a moustache," before adding: "It's like sitting next to the internet in a pink shirt."
Identity mix up
On a celebrity special edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire back in 2022, former This Morning star Richard Madeley accidentally called Jeremy by the wrong name in an epic mistake.
The Good Morning Britain host was hoping to raise funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance and Saint Francis Hospice when he repeatedly misnamed Clarkson. Multiple times, he called him by the former hosts name instead - Chris Tarrant.
Chris was famously the original host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, acting as quiz host on the show from its run between 1998 and 2014.

On two questions, Richard gave his final answers as he called Jeremy Chris. The current host responded saying: "I'm not Chris," with laughter coming from the audience. Richard quickly apologised as he branded himself "senile".
Losing Lifeline
One contestant, Victoria Johnson, branded herself "Vickypedia" as she hoped to take home the six-figure winnings. However, her WWTBAM journey was shortlived and she went home with just £1,000 in her pocket.
Playing for the question: "Which of these companies was not founded in Sweden?" The options presented were H&M, Spotify, Kopparberg and Lidl. The contestant wasn't 100% sure which answer to go for so opted to use the 50/50 lifeline - removing two incorrect answers from the board.
She opted for Spotify after initially having "an inkling", but it was later revealed that the correct answer was actually Lidl - meaning Victoria lost £3,000, but went home with £1,000.
