University of Oregon and Nike double down on their relationship with a set of new cleats for the football team. Oregon Football reward for securing the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff comes with perks and as such, the Ducks are taking the field at the Rose Bowl in special player edition Nike Kobe 6 cleats.
Taking to social media to reveal their "KOBE VI UO PE" cleats, the team is stepping out onto the field in stile. The shoe takes on a white base in the signature snake-skin pattern. The Nike Swoosh is highlighted in Oregon's gold swatch and filled with the team's green hue. Kobe's logo hits the heel and the Mamba moniker is on the tongue. The cleat's sole takes on a green hue to match.
The PEs are no surprise as Nike as a sponsor for Oregon, has been known to outfit the team in one-of-a-kind uniforms. Just ahead of its regular season, the team revealed a new collection of uniforms called "Generation O." Team-inspired cleats are not new to college football. Nike also outfitted the USC Trojans with team-specific pairs.
