Trick Williams Loved The Rock Appearing on WWE NXT

– During a recent interview with DC 101, former WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams discussed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared at this week’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil show in Los Angeles. Williams said on the appearance (via Fightful), “Who could have imagined The Rock being at NXT, ever. NXT, especially over the past two or three years, we’ve raised NXT to new heights. You never know what you’re going to see on a Tuesday night. I love it.”

As noted, this week’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil special, featuring The Rock, drew an average 957,000 viewers and a 0.25 rating; the highest numbers to date for WWE NXT since the show moved to The CW.
