’s lawyer is speaking out amid the actor’s drama with It Ends With Us costar . Confirming that Baldoni, 40, “absolutely” has plans to countersue Lively, 37, attorney told NBC News’ in a new interview that Baldoni had no intentions of coordinating a smear campaign against the actress despite her allegations otherwise. “One hundred percent no,” Freedman claimed. “Justin Baldoni, from the get-go, said, ‘I don’t want to do anything negative toward her. I don’t want to hurt her.’” Freedman previously denied Lively’s “outrageous” claims in a statement to Us Weekly after she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of their movie, which debuted last summer. Baldoni subsequently filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for libel regarding their reporting on Lively’s accusations. Lively’s attorney, meanwhile, insisted in a statement to Us that “nothing in [Baldoni’s] lawsuit changes anything about the claims” she brought forward as a spokesperson for The Times stood by their reporting.
