Later, Tyler also responded to a fan who replied to the list and questioned why it included one of his own tracks, âJudge Judyâ from his latest album âChromakopiaâ. Addressing the inclusion of his own song, the artist wrote: âYeah I like the music I make, Iâm confused on the questionâ.
Elsewhere, the rapper shared another update on social media, this time sharing a list of his top moments from throughout the year. This included huge milestones like releasing his latest album, headlining Coachella 2024, collaborating with Louis Vuitton and rapping over a Kendrick Lamar song.
The latter refers to the new release âThat Guyâ, which arrived on Christmas Day and came as a freestyle over Kendrick Lamarâs âHey Nowâ. âMerry Christmas. had fun with it,â he wrote alongside a link to the new music video, directed by Tyler and featuring cameos from Odd Futureâs Jasper Dolphin, Travis âTacoâ Bennett, and Lionel âL-Boyâ Boyce.

Tyler also used the holiday season to celebrate the 15th anniversary of âBastardâ, his debut studio album from 2009. âThank you to everyone who listened to anything over the years,â he wrote. â[It] was in such a different zone musically and as a person, but was determined to be who I am today.â
The rapper shared his seventh album âChromakopiaâ in late October and the release was given a three-star review by NME.
âWithin the chaos [of the album], thereâs beauty – the sensitivity of âHey Janeâ, the infectious hip-hop bite of âThought I Was Deadâ, the rising cacophonies of brass and percussion on âI Killed Youâ. But perhaps a less frantic approach wouldâve benefited the listen overall,â it read.
Tyler, The Creator wasnât the only one to share his top songs of 2024 last month. NME also dropped a huge list of the best tracks of the year at the start of December and included huge songs including Tylerâs own âStickyâ, which featured GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne.
âShort, adrenaline-fuelled verses are now the name of the hyperstimulated game, and on âStickyâ, Tyler is winning,â it read. âBetween the earworm choruses, the all-star line-up of GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne join the cafeteria-table freestyle; combine that with horns, a drumline and thumping bass and you get a thrilling, unpredictable banger.â
Other tracks featured included âAloneâ, the first single by The Cure in 16 years, Billie Eilishâs âBirds Of A Featherâ, Charli XCXâs â365â, Fontaines D.C.âs âStarbursterâ, Kendrick Lamarâs âNot Like Usâ and Chappell Roanâs âGood Luck, Babe!â.
