Diane's other series Cunk On Earth, which sees Diane's character ask real historians outlandish questions about the world, is available on the BBC iPlayer and the shows creator Charlie Brooker has nothing but praise for her performance in the mockumentary.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk at The Royal Television Society Awards in 2023, Charlie was asked why he thought Diane would be a great choice for the role.
"Well, she's incredibly funny. When she first auditioned for that role, it was a few years ago, she just knocked it out of the park," he shared.
"She just has very funny bones," the writer continued. "Everything she says is funny, everything she does is funny. She probably cries in a funny way, if she's genuinely upset it would probably be quite funny."
