ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh issues warning after player's 'poor' move sparks fury
Bradley Walsh warned a contestant after he made a vital mistake during the latest instalment of The Chase.
Thursday's edition (December 12) of the ITV quiz show saw four contestants, Joe, Becky, Nathan and Sophie take on Shaun Wallace.
Up first was Joe, who earned a respectable £5,000 in the cash builder. The 42-year-old stuck with this offer as he went head-to-head with the Dark Destroyer.
The sales manager looked as though he was going to make it through, however, as last minute hesitation changed the game. When Joe was two from home, he was asked: "Which British city features in the lyrics of ABBA's 'Super Trouper'?"
The three options given were London, Glasgow and Cardiff. When it came to choosing an answer, Joe struggled as he admitted: "I don't know any ABBA songs."
He was given an urgent push by Bradley, who warned: "Need an answer and quickly."

Joe ran out of time answering the question (Image: ITV)However, the timer ran out. Asked which answer he would have chosen, Joe revealed he would have picked Glasgow - which turned out to be the right answer.
The mistake meant Shaun moved just one place behind Joe.
Bradley quipped: "You could be one from home by now with one chance of getting through. Now you're two from home. This is not good."
And the error proved to be costly as Joe was caught after the next question was asked.
Viewers were outraged as they flocked to social media to complain about Joe's lack of urgency, with one writing: "No excuse for a no press timeout."
Another said: "While (whisper it) you can 'sometimes' realise why someone takes the low offer, there is simply NO EXCUSE for being out of time."
A third fumed: "This is what you get, Joe, for running out of time!" as another posted: "Serves you right for yakking instead of pressing."

Hoping to perform better was Becky, who answered four questions correctly in the cash builder. However, the same thing happened and she was caught by Shaun.
This put pressure on Nathan, who was eager to make it through to the final chase. The 22-year-old answered just two questions correctly in the cash builder before being offered £60,000 and £1,000 from Shaun.
He stunned Bradley by announcing that he was taking the £2,000, with Shaun later claiming he should have chosen the £1,000. Nathan was quickly caught, leaving just Sophie to play on her own.
Realising she had nothing to lose, the disability access consultant chose Shaun's high offer of £80,000. However, it wasn't meant to be as she was caught before making it home.
In the rare instance that all four players are caught, one player is given the chance to take on the chaser in the final chase. The team chose Becky, who answered seven questions correctly.
Unfortunately for the team, Shaun caught Becky with over one minute remaining.
