The event forms part of a new, three-day annual concert series at the football stadium. On the Saturday (May 24), Ella Henderson will headline after opening sets from Sigala, JP Cooper and more.
Organisers are yet to confirm the line-up for the first date (Friday May 23).
They have promised “both celebrated artists and emerging talents across various genres”, adding: “The event aims to cater to a diverse audience, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.”
In October, Ashcroft played a special concert with a string section at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London.
Ashcroft’s headline shows in 2025 precede his support slots on Oasis’ massive UK and Ireland reunion tour next summer and autumn â where he’ll be joined on the bill by Cast.
In a statement about joining Liam and Noel Gallagher at their first gigs together in 16 years, Ashcroft said: “As a fan from day one I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasisâ return was announced.
“I can say with no exaggeration that the songwriting talent of Noel and Liamâs pure spirit as a lead singer helped to inspire me to create some of my best work. It was the perfection of âLive Foreverâ that forced me to try and write my own.â
He added: “They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy. Now itâs time to create more memories and Iâm ready to bring it. See you next summer. Music is power.”
In 2021, Ashcroft released ‘Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1’ â an album containing reimaginings of both his solo work and The Verveâs âclassic songsâ. The record reached Number Two in the UK, and followed on from 2018’s ‘Natural Rebel’.
