I'm a Celeb: Dean McCullough struggles through trial

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans slammed the show's 'most disgusting trial' yet on Thursday night.

During the latest instalment, Dean McCullough, Alan Halsall and Danny Jones, who all received the most votes from the public on Wednesday's show, learnt they would be going head-to-head to take on the Bushtucker Trial The Rank Bank.

In a twist, hosts Ant and Dec also shared the news that the other campmates would be coming along to watch. Upon entering the Bushtucker Trial area, Ant and Dec explained: "Jungle life is about to get very expensive. Everyday essentials in camp are going to cost you money and to pay for them you’ll have to use your jungle cash card. You’re going to be split into three teams."

They then explained that Dean, Alan and Danny would be the first members of each team, with them each having a different colour cash card. The rest of the campmates were then instructed to pick a cash card at random from a bag, with the colour determining what team they were on.

Sitting within their allocated teams, they learned they would each be responsible for their team’s money, with each team having their own bank account and cash card. The money would be needed to pay for daily essentials around the camp, as well as food for their dinner.

It was then over to Dean, Alan and Danny to go head-to-head in The Rank Bank as their first opportunity to bank cash for their teams.

To secure money for their bank accounts, the trio had to compete in four races and for first place, they’d be awarded $300, for second place $200 and third place $100, with each race having a three minute time limit, meaning if they failed to complete the race within the time, they would win nothing for their account.

For the first box, which contained raw pig testicles, Dean, Alan and Danny learned they would have to empty their deposit box within the time limit using only their mouths. Danny and Alan were neck and neck but in the end Danny won $300 for team orange, Alan $200 for team blue and Dean failed to secure any money for team pink.

Next up, it was fish guts and the trio had to compete to remove three coins out of the fish guts deposit box using only their mouths. Alan won this challenge with Dean coming in second and Danny sadly missing out on any money.

In the third race, they were told to keep an eye on their finances, as Ant and Dec revealed they’d have to squeeze the juice out of fish eyes into the shot glass, filling it up to the red line using only their mouth. Alan came first, Danny second and Dean third to which the latter star joked: "It’s all in my veneers!"

For the fourth and final race, Dean, Alan and Danny had to put their hands into a hell hole filled with critters in order to unscrew three coins as quickly as possible. Alan came first, Dean second and Danny just missed out on finishing in time, so won nothing.

Following the challenge, team blue reigned victorious with $1100, with both the pink and orange teams tied with $500 each.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were left nauseous over the "vile" Bushtucker Trial with some labelling it the "most disgusting" yet. One person said: "#ImACeleb that is the most disgusting trial in the universe...", a different account wrote: "This is absolutely disgusting. WHAT AM I WATCHING #ImACeleb", another put: "That trial is disgusting #ImACeleb" while a different viewer added: "No this is a vile trial! Literally gagging watching it #ImaCeleb."

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs every night at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITV X.
