Oti Mabuse shares emotional 'hell' birth story with Reverend Richard on I'm A Celeb

Oti Mabuse, a star known from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! was moved to tears while opening up about the emotional challenge following her child's premature birth as she conversed with Reverend Richard. In an intimate moment, Oti recounted her experience, saying that as she couldn't cradle her new-born who had to stay in an incubator, her voice became a source of solace: "They find comfort in your voice."

She shared her efforts to connect with her baby: "For two months, every single day we'd sing church music."

Richard empathetically responded, revealing his poignant experience of performing a baptism on a critically premature baby: "I remember going once to baptise a little boy, a premature boy, he was born very premature, he was only just alive."

Overwhelmed by emotion at the recollection, Richard had to pause and composed himself before continuing, thanking Oti for her supporting embrace, reports <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/breaking-im-celebritys-oti-mabuse-34193951" rel="Follow" >the Mirror</a>.

He resumed, deeply affected, recalling how the infant clung to life and grew into a thriving youngster: "I just remember he was this tiny little pulse of life, and David [his then partner] got a pipette of water and we blessed it, and we baptised him and he survived and now he's a healthy young footballer, which is great! But I just felt so... it was such a precious thing."

Oti responded with heartfelt agreement, reflecting on the harsh realities faced by parents of premature infants: "They are, my daughter was really, really tiny when she was born. It's hell. It's hell to be in the hospital, to hear those sounds, to not see your baby's eyes for a week, it's hell to constantly look for advice from the doctors."

Oti Mabuse held back tears as she shared with Richard Madeley on the show the emotional toll of being away from her baby, saying, "every night, you need to leave them, you need to leave your baby in someone else's hands."

In a touching moment, Oti expressed her hopes, requesting Richard to say a prayer for her daughter: "Maybe you can say a prayer over her, I would really love that."

To which Richard warmly replied, "I've already said a prayer for her actually", leaving Oti visibly moved and thankful as the two embraced. Richard also revealed his own heartache, talking about the loss of his former partner David: "I miss him... He's just left a massive hole in my life and I'm living my life around that loss."
