A Kind of Guise Keeps It Classy for AW24
German label A Kind of Guise (AKOG) has released a tasteful suite of offerings for the winter season. The new collection is thematically centered around Peru, the latest destination that the Munich-based imprint focused on for both its storytelling and artisanal craftsmanship.
Several crowd favorites have returned, namely the knee-length Deniro Coat — which like the famed actor it's named after, is an elegant statement piece made with a boiled baby alpaca and wool blend bouclé from Peru, along with a loose belt at the waist for a custom fit. Also returning is the Marani Overshirt, crafted in Harris Tweed wool from Great Britain, as well as the Samurai Pants in a blue moon corduroy.
The Arequipa Jacket, a new silhouette and arguably one of the standouts within the drop, is crafted from luxurious lambskin tanned in Germany, featuring a soft wool interior with a sleek nappa exterior and an oversized collar to round the piece out. For the colder months that require extra warmth, the Puno Puffer Jacket is sustainably built from third-generation fabric sourced from one of Italy’s most eco-friendly mills that is water-repellent and PFC-free. Available in pickle green and deep night, the jacket includes a two-way zipper and is filled with recycled post-consumer 90% down and 10% feathers.
Never ones to skimp the details, from their regional fabric labels to accessories, AKOG's latest offerings include a silk and cashmere Daavuu Scarf in a anthrazit melange-bordeaux pattern, as well as a beige melange-yellow iteration. Shop the full collection online.
