Pete Wicks left Strictly Come Dancing host Janette Manrara lost for words with a cheeky comment during the live show.

The former Only Way Is Essex star had previously stunned the Blackpool audience with his Cha Cha Cha performance, wearing eye-catching pink latex trousers alongside professional partner Jowita Przystal.

Discussing their routine on It Takes Two, Pete confessed that he felt out of his comfort zone with the Latin dance, but was determined to push through and make it to the next round, which he successfully did.

Pete quipped: "Funnily enough, it was my first time in latex trousers so I didn't know the ins and outs of it," before Jowita then shared her thoughts on the performance, expressing her pride in Pete for taking it all in stride.

Speaking to Janette, Jowita said, "We had so much fun. I think, it's Blackpool and everything's bigger -" before Pete interrupted with a humorous "Thank you," leaving Janette in stitches, reports the Mirror.

Jowita quickly added: "I'm just going to leave it on that one. But you know everything is bigger and better and we want to bring the entertainment and I know our goal for that Cha Cha Cha was to bring the entertainment and smile on people's faces."

She then turned to Pete and asked, "I enjoyed that very much, but I don't know if you did?"

After his performance on Saturday, Pete took to Instagram to thank fans for their support in keeping him in the competition. He penned: "Humbled. Overwhelmed. Grateful. I'm well aware I'm not a good dancer, but I am trying. Every week @jowitaprzystal and I just want to make the most of what we can. We take it day by day, week by week.

"I know VERY little about dancing but what I have learnt is that it's about letting go and throwing yourself at it no matter what level of skill/talent you may or may not have. I know I make mistakes, I know I don't have rhythm and I'm wooden but I won't stop trying. I've tried my best from day 1 and I'll continue to try my best for as long as I'm allowed to be part of the show. Your support has been mind blowing and each week you continue to show @jowitaprzystal and I love and we couldn't be any more grateful. It's down to you that we have managed to make it to week 10. THANK YOU. I promise you will never see me in latex again."

Strictly: It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
