Emmerdale fans 'work out' who smashed Tom King's car window - and it's not Nicola

Emmerdale fans are certain they've figured out who is behind the smashing of Tom King's car window.

The notorious village rogue, portrayed by James Chase, was recently arrested as part of an ongoing probe into his domestic abuse against Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper). However, he was subsequently released and the police investigation carried on.

Fans are speculating that Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), wife of Tom's uncle Jimmy King (Nick Miles), is hatching a plan to bring Tom down in a fresh revenge scheme.

This comes after Nicola took her stepson Carl Holiday, played by Charlie Munro Joyce, to the police station to accuse him of lying about a lost tablet, which holds crucial evidence of Belle's abuse at Tom's hands. The young lad also confessed that his cousin had intimidated him over the tablet before destroying it.

Earlier this week, DS Foy (Robert Cavanah) interrogated Tom about his previous statements. The officer presented proof that Tom had purchased several cameras to spy on Belle in her own home, highlighting his increasing controlling behaviour, reports Leeds Live.

DS Foy, who trusts Belle's version of events, also confirmed that despite undergoing mental health treatment, Belle was mentally stable when she reported Tom for domestic abuse. However, a potential breakthrough occurred when Foy disclosed that investigators had discovered Tom's shattered tablet, which would be meticulously analysed by an IT team to retrieve any data.

In a dramatic twist on 'Emmerdale', Tom was met with a cold reception from a suspicious Nicola, convinced he's behind Belle's ordeal. However, the plot thickens as Tom's car gets smashed and fingers are pointing at young Carl as the vandal.

On social media, fans were quick to theorize, with one asserting in an 'Emmerdale' group: "Jimmy, your son is the one who smashed to car window."

Another concurred: "There's no question about it. Carl was the one who threw the brick at Tom's car." Others cheered on the potential juvenile justice, as one remarked: "Good for him if it is. Wouldn't want my kids around Tom."

Yet, some armchair detectives suggest Tom could have staged the incident for sympathy, sparking debate online. A fan speculated: "It's something that Tom would do, anything to get the sympathy vote." Echoing this theory, another added: "I thought Tom had done himself."

The village is rife with tension as viewers eagerly await the revelation of the 'true' culprit. The stakes are only getting higher for Tom, who will face new troubles next week when Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) discovers him bloodied. Will Laurel uncover the truth, or is Tom orchestrating another disturbing scheme?
