Xbox Game Pass Getting Five More Day-One Launches, Including Control Multiplayer Spin-Off

Not only did Remedy pull the curtains back on its Control spin-off FBC: Firebreaker, the developer also added a surprise by sharing that it will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. In fact, it was one of five titles that will launch on the subscription service that Microsoft unveiled as part of the Xbox Partner Preview.

Joining Remedy's first-ever multiplayer game--which sees three players teaming up to take on the Hiss--as an Xbox Game Pass day-one launch are Eternal Strands, Subnautica 2, Wheel World, and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Each title is slated to release in 2025.

Eternal Strands is an action-RPG that comes from developer Yellow Brick Games, which includes longtime Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw. Subnautica 2 will actually start out in Xbox Game Preview and features optional co-op.

Wheel World was formerly known as Ghost Bike, because your ride "can travel between the worlds of the living and the dead," per Xbox Wire. It's supposed to be a chill experience involving a supernatural bicycle. Last but not least is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The dark fantasy game seems like a challenging souls-like title, with a protagonist who can light their sword on fire with their arm.

Later this month, Xbox Game Pass will get one of its biggest titles yet with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Other notable additions include South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Dead Island 2.
