Toledano & Chan Presents a Meteorite Timepiece for TimeForArt 2024

In conjunction with the Swiss Institute, Toledano & Chan has unveiled a new Brutalist-inspired B/1M wristwatch for this year’s TimeForArt auction.

With the “M” in its name standing for “meteorite,” the reference emerges in the model’s signature asymmetric shape that draws reference to a particular window of the Marcel Breuer-designed Whitney Museum building in Manhattan.

Doused in a palette of cement and slate gray, the watch features a meteorite composition from the watch case, dial to the lugs. In keeping with its color scheme, this prototypal piece is paired with a tonal ostrich leg strap that plays up an intriguing contrast with its case both visually and texturally.

As mentioned in a recent Instagram post by Toledano & Chan, the brand intends to release a limited production of the B/1M sometime in the new year, noting that “the production version will maintain the same basic design as the prototype but will differ in various ways.“

This Toledano & Chan B/1M one-off prototype will head to auction this December at the dedicated TimeForArt,  which will be held as a part of The Phillips New York Watch Auction: XI. For more information, head over to TimeForArt’s official website.
