Roy Keane left Gary Neville in fits of laughter after his prediction that England will sail into the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 by following it up with a cheeky quip.

The former Manchester United team-mates have been sharing their insights on ITV as pundits throughout the tournament. With England taking on Slovakia in the knockout stages in Germany, the Three Lions are widely tipped for victory.

Known for his no-nonsense approach, Keane didn't hold back in the studio during the pre-match discussions.

He confidently predicted an England triumph, leading to a humorous exchange with Neville. Keane declared: "I can't see anything but an England win."

function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.setAttribute('src','https://live.primis.tech/live/liveView.php?s=114291&playerApiId=v114291');document.getElementById('ovp-primis').appendChild(el)} window.top.addEventListener('primisPlayerInit',e=>{try{if(e.detail&&e.detail.playerApiId==="v114291"){if(window.document.getElementsByClassName('jwplayer')[0]){e.detail.float('disable')}}}catch(e){}});window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',()=>{setTimeout(()=>{if(typeof flagTcfLoaded!=='undefined'&&flagTcfLoaded===!0){loadOvpScript() ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP flagTcfLoaded',new Date())}else{document.addEventListener("tcfLoaded",()=>{loadOvpScript() ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP tcfLoaded',new Date())})}},1500)})

To which Neville replied, amused: "He's gone early, he's gone early!" Without missing a beat, Keane retorted in an X-rated joke: "Story of my life!"

Despite foreseeing a win for the Three Lions against Slovakia, Keane has been characteristically forthright about England's form, their prospects, and the mercurial sentiment that often accompanies their journey through tournaments.

He observed the tendency for extreme reactions to the team's fortunes. Keane remarked: "It always seems to be extremes. They have a couple of good results, they're definitely going to win the tournament.

"Obviously before the show tonight, you were in the final. All of a sudden after the game, it's going to be a tough knockout game.

"We go back to it, simplify it, focus on the next game. England have an unbelievably talented group of players, but that doesn't guarantee anything.

"You need a bit of luck, you need that team to come together and you need your strikers turning up. They've not quite done that yet, but I think they're still going along nicely and they'll be a threat."
