Awake NY and Marshall Want to Redefine New York's Creative Landscape

Lower East Side streetwear label Awake NY has teamed up with rock 'n' roll music company Marshall to produce a year-long event series titled "Live From Awake NY." The program, which will also include exclusive drops and a financial donation to the Queens Museum's Queens Teens Institute for Arts and Social Justice, aims to "redefine [New York City's] creative landscape."

Taking place in Awake's Lower East Side flagship store, the events will highlight a roster of emerging and established musicians who speak to New York's cultural tapestry. To date, the series has featured Yonkers native Styles P and Toronto-based singer, songwriter, and producer Charlotte Day Wilson.

Angelo Baque, founder of Awake, stated, “The partnership with Marshall originated with our communal belief in the power of art and expression. The undeniable pairing of two culturally forward brands is powerfully personified with the ‘Live from Awake NY’ concert series and the support of Queens Museum Teens programming.”

The duo's donation will benefit Queens Museum Teens programming, which serves to nurture young artists with an abundance of insightful resources, including leadership seminars and community service projects.

"We are thrilled to join forces with Awake NY to amplify the voices of New York City's creative community," said Jeremy de Maillard, CEO at Marshall Group. "Through our shared passion for music, creativity, and community, we aim to inspire and uplift the next generation of artists and change-makers."

Stay tuned to Awake NY and Marshall for updates on who will be taking to the "Live From Awake NY" stage next.
