NCIS: Hawaii season two finale teased in sneak peak

NCIS Hawaii will come to an unexpected end after CBS confirmed the spin-off will officially conclude with its upcoming season three finale

As Jane Tennant star Vanessa Lachey led the cast’s heartbroken tributes, fans took to social media with a viral campaign to save the series. 

Alongside the hashtags #savencishawaii and #renewncishawaii, viewers created a petition to urge network bosses to reconsider their decision. 

The appeal which went live on Friday 26, has already accumulated 4,389 signatures of its 5,000 goal. 

With fans highlighting its huge representation of women and the LGBTQ and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.

The petition reads: “The show has broken barriers by portraying women in leading roles, inspiring countless girls and women to see themselves as leaders. 

“The two lesbian characters have helped many viewers come to terms with their sexuality, providing much-needed representation on mainstream television. 

“Furthermore, storylines dealing with PTSD and trauma have offered solace to those grappling with similar issues in their own lives.”

As fans await news of a possible renewal or new network many have continued to share their disappointment on social media.

On X, a distraught @Mara97565447 posted: “I'm deeply disappointed #Kacy have so much to give, the cast was amazing. and it's just unfair.”

As @holtzybxby fumed: “CBS cancelling a female-led show with POC and queer representation really hurts.”

@EivaStitch exclaimed: “THEY DESERVES MORE!! WE NEED MORE OF KATE AND LUCY!! DON'T CANCEL THIS SERIES.”

While @kimferris300 suggested: “Maybe we should bombard CBS Studios with pineapples so they know we want more NCIS Hawaii!”
