Update on Live Gate Generated by WrestleMania 40

– According a report by JohnWallStreet has a report on the ticket sales generated by this year’s WrestleMania 40 for WWE. According to the report, the event brought $38.5 million in ticket sales, with a 78% increase over WrestleMania 39 and a 147% increase from the gate figure for WrestleMania 38.

For comparison, WrestleMania 39 had a reported gate of $21.6 million, while WrestleMania 38 had a $15.6 million gate (h/t to Wrestlenomics). WrestleMania 40: Night 1 also had an announced attendance of 72,543, with 72,755 people for Night 2. The announced total was 145,298 people.

WWE later announced the show as “the most successful event in WWE history,” noting that the event shattered all-time gate, viewership, merchandise, fan event, and social records.
