BBC Breakfast viewers cringe over Naga Munchetty's 'awkward' dig

Breakfast: Naga has awkward chat about 'baboons stealing balls'

BBC Breakfast viewers have said the "awkwardness is palpable" after hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt had a suggestive conversation about "baboons pinching balls".

The pair were having a conversation with sports presenter Mike Bushell and weather presenter Matt Taylor when it got a tad awkward in the studio.

Mike was telling audiences that people had to be worried about alligators and not baboons in South Africa after an alligator found it's way onto a golf course during an important game.

He cheekily added: "I think I'd rather have alligators holding up a game than cheeky baboons, like in South Africa where they have baboon monitors to try and stop baboons pinching your balls."

Things got awkward in the studio as Naga responded with, "Yeah" as Charlie said: "It's a tough job isn't it? You've gotta be careful around these baboons," with Naga nodding her head disapprovingly with the nature of the conversation.

Mike responded: "I am usually everyday," as Charlie brought weatherman Matt into the conversation by asking him: "Matty, you usually care for baboons?"

He said: "I can't say I have the same sort of activity as Mike at the office," with Mike adding: "I'll give you some tips."

Naga jumped in and made the situation on BBC Breakfast even more awkward as she asked Matt: "Avoid baboons pinching your balls?"

He said: "Not had that no. Should we go to the weather?," as Naga pleaded: "Please!".
