Manchester United will aim to spark an upturn in Premier League results when rock-bottom Sheffield United visit Old Trafford tonight. But Erik ten Hag has a host of new injury issues to contend with for the visit of the Blades, likely enforcing changes to his team in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final win against Coventry City.

Harry Maguire is United's only available senior centre-back. Last week, Willy Kambwala joined Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans on the injury list.

Casemiro partnered Maguire against Coventry and is expected to fulfil the role again, barring any late fitness boosts.

Diogo Dalot was one of United's better players at the weekend and will remain at right-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka should fill in at left-back again, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia still absent.

Midfield - Mainoo, Eriksen, Fernandes

Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount were new injury absentees for the trip to Wembley, and Ten Hag didn't suggest either would return against Sheffield United.

The Dutchman also raised concerns about "very doubtful" Scott McTominay and captain Bruno Fernandes but said he believed the latter would be ready to play.

Kobbie Mainoo will retain his starting spot, likely as the most defensive midfielder if Casemiro remains in defence.

Christian Eriksen could return to the starting lineup in McTominay's place after scoring one of United's penalties in the shootout win three days ago.

Anthony Martial remains unavailable, and Ten Hag has poured doubt over Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho's fitness after both came off with problems against Coventry.

The Dutchman is hopeful Garnacho can feature for his 32nd consecutive United start, but he sounded more downbeat about Rashford's chances.

Amad Diallo will be the popular candidate to replace Rashford, who was booed by his own supporters at Wembley. However, Antony is more likely to stand in.

Rasmus Hojlund scored the winning penalty to book United's ticket to a record 22nd FA Cup final. But he needs to start scoring again in normal time and add to his 13-goal tally before that game arrives.
