Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren were spotted sharing a tender moment after their son Charlie's impressive performance at the PNC Championship. Despite coming second to Bernhard and Jason Langer, the family had an exciting day with 15-year-old Charlie scoring a hole-in-one.
Nordegren was seen supporting her son and former husband around the course, and despite the public end to their six-year marriage 14 years ago due to Tiger's infidelity, they were seen embracing after Sunday's round. The couple divorced following revelations of Tiger's multiple affairs, which he later admitted to.
Their divorce was finalised shortly after an incident in 2009 when Nordegren reportedly chased Woods out of their house with a golf club, leading to him crashing his car.
At the time, Woods released a statement saying: "I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry."
Elin Nordegren, who has kept a low profile at golf events over the years, has been more visible recently as her son Charlie Woods makes his mark in the sport.
Alongside her two children with the golf legend, she now also has three children with former NFL player Jordan Cameron. During Sunday's tournament, the spotlight was on Charlie as he celebrated a hole-in-one, saying: "It was a perfect seven iron so I just had to hit it. 175, little down off the left, low cut seven. It was awesome.
"I didn't think it went in - I don't believe anyone until I go up there and see it."
Tiger Woods expressed his admiration for his son's performance and his ability to cope with the intense scrutiny that comes with being a young athlete today. He reflected: "He's playing golf with us, and then playing the high school matches.
"The type of attention is very different than what I had. We didn't have social media. We didn't have camera phones. We didn't have any of that.
"It was kind of hearsay amongst neighbours. It was a different time and era."
