Manchester United could look to take advantage of Leicester City’s precarious financial situation by swooping in and stealing one of their star players.
Like many clubs across England’s top flight, Leicester have been hamstrung by PSR rules in recent months.
It’s limited how much they’ve been allowed to spend upon their return to the Premier League and could end up dictating the players they’re able to keep hold of.
One man said to be attracting attention from clubs higher up the division is Mads Hermansen - the 24-year-old Danish shot-stopper who joined from Brondby last season.

He’s impressed since making the step up to the Premier League and prior to a recent injury, had started all of the Foxes’ league matches.
According to The Telegraph, he could prove the makeweight for Leicester, as they look to fend off a potential points deduction from the Premier League.
Abdul Fatawu, who was considered their most valuable and therefore sellable asset, suffered a season-ending knee injury meaning Hermansen is the player they’ll likely have to cash in.
The East Midlands-based outfit are unlikely to be short on suitors, with United among the teams said to be monitoring his situation.

It’s claimed in the report that Tony Coton, United’s chief goalkeeping scout, had been present to watch Hermansen at Leicester’s recent 2-2 draw with Brighton.
Any deal for the goalkeeper is expected to be left until the summer when Leicester will not only know their Premier League survival status but also how badly they’ve been affected by PSR.
It’s a situation that obviously casts doubt on the future of Andre Onana, who only arrived at United in the summer of 2023 as part of a hefty £47million deal from Inter Milan.
Onana hasn’t always looked comfortable between the sticks for United, especially since Ruben Amorim arrived in Manchester, with the Cameroon goalkeeper having been at fault for a number of high-profile errors.

Amorim has been quick to throw his arms around Onana though, insisting he and his team-mates will improve.
Speaking last month after United’s Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen, Amorim said: “He had already, in the past, a past situation like that. We have to work on this.
“If you see the play, we are trying to build up a lot with the goalkeeper making the bounce [pass] with Matta [De Ligt]. This time we have a disconnect a little bit during the play. And when we try this, we suffered a goal.”
