Non-league club Tamworth have sparked a major backlash after significantly hiking ticket prices for their upcoming FA Cup game against Tottenham.
Fans on social media have voiced their opposition to the extortionate prices, which will see home supporters charged as much as £42 to watch the biggest game in their club's history.
Children under 17 years of age will be forced to pay £34 for a ticket in the main stand, while those under 10 will need to shell out £29. Fans above the age of 66 will also need to pay inflated fees, with main stand tickets priced at a whopping £37.
Tamworth have faced a significant backlash as a result of the pricing system, with fans accusing them of excessive greed and fleecing their own supporters.
Many users on X (formerly Twitter) said that while they understood Tamworth needed to take advantage of the financial gain, the increase was simply too extreme.
@TylerBirtles said: "That pricing is an absolute disgrace. You should seriously reconsider what you’re doing. What a joke."
Others went even stronger, with @RedimpsLCFC writing: "You should be ashamed with these prices. All your fans who have gone to the qualifying round games are now priced out.
"The magic of the FA Cup is about the fans and you’ve ruined it for your own. Don’t deserve a home tie to a Premier League team if this is how you treat fans."
@DawsonsRightPeg added: "Jesus Christ you robbing profiteering b******s. I didn’t pay this much for my cup final ticket. Absolutely insane. Punishing your own fans due to the fate of a cup draw to simply line your own pockets. Disgusting."

@CleaveO echoed a similar view, posting: "Those prices are a disgrace and pure greed. Disrespecting your loyal fans who go every week by charging them extortionate prices of £42. Be your own fault if you don’t sell out for misreading the room."
Some people feel Tamworth were compelled to increase their prices due to FA Cup replays being scrapped, while others said they had no issue because it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
@leecross398741 said: "I know fans will feel hard done by with those prices but without replays it gives the club more revenue. It's worth it to say I have seen a Premier League club play even though they will probably field the kids."
@MichaelReelRead added: "Everyone going after Tamworth for ridiculous prices but no one’s remembering that this is what happens when you scrap replays."
@unsusme, meanwhile, wrote: "This is what happens when you scrap replays. Not surprising that a small club is trying to maximise the fixture."
