We now have just over a week until the January transfer window opens and it's set to be a busy month for Premier League teams. A number of clubs are in clear need of reinforcements, with injury lists growing amid a frenzied schedule.

Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all touted to make signings after a disappointing first half of the campaign. Tottenham are also expected to into the market, with Ange Postecoglou in desperate need of another goalkeeper.

Despite being clear at the top of the table, Liverpool too are after signings to make sure they have the squad depth to go the distance. Only £96.2million was spent in January by top-flights in 2024, with that figure set to be easily surpassed this time around.

Liverpool line-up £80m Branthwaite bid

Liverpool are reportedly lining up Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite as the replacement for Virgil van Dijk.

According to anfieldwatch, the Toffees will demand £80million for a sale. Both Man Utd and Man City have also been linked, but it's the Reds said to be the front runners.

'Rashford could stay' says Man Utd icon

Former Man Utd player Lee Sharpe doesn't think it's inevitable that Marcus Rashford will leave the club in January.

"It is salvageable for sure," he told William Hill. "Amorim has come out and said a Manchester United team with Rashford in, is a better team than without him. So there is the challenge for Marcus if he chooses to accept.

"Knuckle down in training, put in 100% and then get yourself back in the team and perform like we know he can. With the way Amorim wants to play, Rashford can fit into one of the positions comfortably, but he has to want to do it."

Arsenal line-up Barcelona star

Arsenal are reportedly set to make a £62million bid for Barcelona defender Jules Kounde in January.

According to reports in Spain, the French international is keen on a move to England, with Mikel Arteta seeing the ex-Sevilla man as a solution to Ben White's injury problems.

Man Utd target Osimhen drops huge hint

Victor Osimhen has put the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea on red alert with his latest comments after his loan spell in Turkey.

The Napoli striker, currently at Galatasaray, spoke out after his side beat Kayserispor 5-1.

“I think it was very important to come to this team and be a part of this big club,” he said. “They made me feel at home. I adapted very easily with Barıs, Yunus, Gabi, Dries. I learned their game quickly. I was happy to be able to help. We are undefeated in Europe. We have to go step by step. We continue on our way in the Super Lig.”
