Bank of Dave 2: Dave Fishwick reveals which scenes are fiction
Netflix has once again struck gold with its fastest commissioned sequel to date, sending waves of enthusiasm among fans as it lands on the platform.
The streaming giant promptly followed up on the heart-tugging story inspired by the real life of a working-class hero, which first graced screens in 2023.
Now back with a bang, Rory Kinnear returns to charm viewers in Bank of Dave 2: The Loan Ranger, portraying the fearless Burnley entrepreneur David Fishwick, the self-made tycoon famed for aiding his community during the economic crisis of 2007-2008.
In an outpouring of praise, fans have been captivated by the narrative's continuation that fictionalises Fishwick's crusade against ruthless payday lenders, many of which have now closed down thanks in part to his efforts.
Joining Kinnear and Jo Hartley, who reprises her role as Dave's wife Nicola, are new faces Chrissy Metz, Amit Shah, Leila Farzad, and Rob Delaney, contributing to what appears to be another triumph for the Bank of Dave franchise, reports Lancs Live.
Early verdicts suggest The Loan Ranger is packing a punch comparable to its celebrated forerunner.
An enthused viewer gushed on X: "@BankofDave #bankofdave2 I know the recent movie has entertainment value just for the crack of it and yet I still love it.

"BUT you can never knock @FishwickDavid for all he's done and just how proud he is, and can make us, of our town."
The inspiration reached even further, even prompting spontaneous travel plans: "Me and the Mrs just watched Bank of Dave 2!" another inspired X user posted. "Just for s***s and giggles we are going to go to Burnley for the Weekend just to have our picture taken outside the Bank of Dave."
