Outlander fans 'can't get enough' of new romance - but will it all end in tears?

Outlander viewers have been getting emotional as season 7 of the Starz saga draws to a close. The show's fans have been captivated by new character Jane Pocock (portrayed by Silvia Presente), eager to see her bond with William Ransom (played by Charles Vandervaart) grow stronger.

In a heartbreaking twist of fate, Jane finds herself in the dire position of having to exchange intimacy for money to survive and take care of her younger sister Fanny (acted by Florrie May Wilkinson).

There's palpable tension between Jane and William, who treats her with kindness and respect, contrasting sharply with others who've taken advantage of her plight, reports the Irish Star.

On its official Instagram page, Outlander tantalised fans with a clip of Jane and William sharing a night-time kiss. The caption teased: "The will they, won't they with these two is off the charts!"

Viewers took to the comments section, throwing their weight behind the potential romance while steeling themselves against the drama yet to unfold.

One fan commented: "I like these two together!" And: "Great chemistry!"

Another fan was struck by their dynamic, stating, "Wow, there is a big fire burning," with someone else chiming in, "These two [fire emoji] Reminds me of Jamie and Claire...ooh that chemistry."

One viewer even called for a dedicated spin-off for the duo, exclaiming: "Spin-off with these 2 characters - can't get enough of their storyline - love Outlander so much last season overwhelmed with emotions."

Fans of Diana Gabaldon's novels also shared their apprehensions about the potential fate of Jane in the adaptation.
