This year's Royal Variety Performance featured a star-studded line-up with music sensations like Elton John, James Bay, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor taking to the stage.

With His Majesty King Charles III among the audience, Amanda Holden and Alan Carr hosted the unforgettable evening.

On being invited to host the prestigious event again, Alan Carr exclaimed: "I am completely thrilled to be asked back to host the Royal Variety Performance so soon, what a compliment and an honour! ".

Carr shared his excitement about co-hosting with his 'tv wife' Amanda Holden, stating: "To be able to host this magical evening with my best friend and tv wife Amanda Holden is the icing on the cake for me. If we have half as much fun as we did three years ago, well we are all in for a real treat."

However, not everything went down well with ITV audiences. A medley from Cameron Mackintosh's revered musical 'Oliver!' ignited complaints, with many viewers expressing discontent over the number of songs, leading some to question the necessity of watching the full production, reports the Mirror.
