As the Strictly Come Dancing competition heats up, one star is at risk of being eliminated from the show.

Wynne Evans has been predicted to be the sixth contestant to be voted off, according to betideas.com.

The Welsh winger is currently at 9/4 odds to leave the series this Sunday, placing him just above Shayne Ward, who is at 7/4.

Sam Quek, once considered a pre-series favourite, now sits third in the elimination market with odds of 4/1, while JB Gill follows closely at 6/1.

Last weekend, Wynne and his professional dancer partner Katy Jones performed a salsa to Canned Heat by Jamiroquai, and scored 31 points for their routine.

The star recently became embroiled in controversy following an awkward interaction with the Russian dancer, which they later explained was just an inside joke.

However, the pair have moved on from the drama and are now focusing on their next challenge: a Rumba to Dame Shirley Bassey’s "This is My Life" for the show’s Icons week.

On It Takes Two, Wynne shared his concerns: "Rumba I'm enjoying but I don't know if I'm doing it right. I've got concerns about the hips. The hips, the hips, the hips."

Katya reassured fans, commenting: "The hips are getting looser. Wynne's got beautifully shaped long legs so if we can put the legs with the hips, it'll be perfection. Can we get there by Saturday, who knows?"

In a candid Instagram Q&A, Wynne also discussed his rumba jitters, saying: "I don't know. I don't look at what's coming up. I just have to focus on getting through this week. I'm now the oldest and the fattest, so the fact I've made it this far is incredible."

"Just focus on this week and getting through this week and then we'll see if I'm there next week. There's a lot of hips in the rumba, I may have actually discovered where my hips are", reports Wales Online.
