Emmerdale: Kim Tate is Will Taylor's blackmailer

Emmerdale enthusiasts are convinced that Kim Tate, portrayed by Claire King, will resort to murder after her husband's betrayal.

The soap was rife with tension in Friday's instalment as Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and his spouse Kim faced a stormy showdown when it emerged that the Home Farm matriarch was the mastermind behind his blackmail.

Earlier episodes saw a wrathful Kim command Will to excavate his own burial site upon discovering his affair with ex-wife Rose (Christina Tremarco). Despite Will's desperate pleas, crossing Kim is a line from which there's no return.

Back at Home Farm, the power dynamics shifted when Will defied Kim by refusing to sign the documents that would restore her business empire.

"I have given you everything," Kim declared to Will. "I have done things for you that would keep most people awake at night," reports Leeds Live.

"And in return you have lied, cheated, you have stolen. You can sit there as long as you like listing every mistake that I have ever done, but I have never once betrayed you."

She continued: "Nothing matters anymore, we are done and we both know it."

In a moment of defiance, Will stood up and firmly stated: "No," before exiting the scene. A symbolic gesture followed as Kim removed her wedding rings, signalling the end of the episode.

Social media was abuzz with fan speculation and predictions, with a common theory being that Kim would take drastic measures to eliminate Will, potentially setting the stage for his departure from the show.

Fans have unleashed their fury on Will, as one viewer expressed on social media, "You cheated Will. Now pay the consequences," and another demanded: "You deserve everything you're gonna get Will! ! ! Queen Kim is back in the building."

One impassioned fan declared: "Kim should kill Will at this point."

Another was eager for justice, proposing: "C'mon Kim. Put him back in the ground and this time bulldoze a ton of earth on him," while a fifth opinionated viewer stated: "Kim get rid of him now," as the speculation continued with comments like: "This storyline tonight is giving me Chris Tate vibes!"

Somebody else anticipated an imminent departure, remarking: "Will's exit looms," and an additional comment came through: "Just kill him, Kim. #Emmerdale."

The episode took a dramatic turn as Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) grappled with her mother's passing, oblivious to the fact her spouse Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) had coerced £100k from her the prior day to ensure a hospital visit.

Tragically, Ruby was too late; by the time she reached the hospital, her estranged mother had died.

Amidst the turmoil, Ruby continues raising their daughter Stephanie alone, leading to rampant speculation about Stephanie's identity and potential arrival in the village.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
