Morrissey s show in Dallas on Saturday (November 2) was cut short after a number of fans invaded the stage “ watch footage below.

The former Smiths frontman had just started his encore at the Texas city s Fair Park with a performance of ˜First Of The Gang To Die from 2004 s ˜You Are The Quarry , when concertgoers started to jump onto the stage.

The singer embraced the first few to reach him, but as more crowded him, he was forced to abandon the stage and security officers pulled fans away from him, with one of them appearing to injure his foot in the process. Fans in the crowd booed as the gig came to an abrupt end.

Watch footage from the event here:

One fan in attendance wrote on X after the show: Last night’s #Morrissey show was nuts! Was a great show but about 2/3 of the way in, a crowd of #idiots rushed the stage to hug him. A bodyguard was injured and the show instantly ended. Jeez what is wrong with people!?!?

Morrissey played at Dallas Fair Park:

˜You re The One For Me, Fatty
˜Alma Matters
˜Shoplifters Of The World Unite
˜I Wish You Lonely
˜I Am Veronica
˜How Soon Is Now?
˜Sure Enough, The Telephone Rings
˜Rebels Without Applause
˜Speedway
˜The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores
˜Life Is A Pigsty
˜Everyday Is Like Sunday
˜Darling, I Hug A Pillow
˜Half A Person
˜The Loop
˜I Ex-Love You
˜All The Lazy Dykes
˜Dear God Please Help Me
˜I Will See You In Far-Off Places
˜First Of The Gang To Die

In other Morrissey news, this week, he donated £50,000 to help save Salford Lads Club, the venue famously pictured on the sleeve of The Smiths ˜The Queen Is Dead . The building is facing closure unless it can raise £250,000 by mid-November.

Laura Slingsby, head of youth operations at Salford Lads Club told  Manchester Evening News  that they are deeply grateful for the donation. His support is more than a financial contribution; it s a powerful endorsement of our mission and a tribute to the club s enduring role in the lives of young people and the cultural heart of Salford, she said.

In September, Morrissey fired his management team after Johnny Marr refuted claims that the guitarist now owns all of the trademark rights and intellectual property of The Smiths, and could tour as a band without Morrissey.
