Today PUMA announced a long-term partnership inked between the heritage sports brand and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). Starting in 2025, PUMA will begin supporting the football club, supplying all male, female, and youth teams with new gear.
With legendary players including Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe, Bruno Fernandes and João Félix, it's no wonder why the federation has amassed the most followers on social media of any national football federation worldwide. Along with the federation's unmatched cultural presence, making it an ideal platform for the global sportswear brand to engage with players and fans, PUMA has a long history of supporting Portugal's football culture. In the 1960s, PUMA worked closely with the legendary Eusébio, the top scorer of the 1966 World Cup, for the creation of the PUMA KING football boot.
President of the FPF Fernando Gomes said “We were attracted to PUMA because of the way in which they engage with the fans and tell the unique story of every team they work with,” in a statement. “We look forward to creating an exciting range of products with them which will resonate with our large fan base all over the world,” he continued.
