Weber is commemorating Junji Ito's horror manga series Tomie with a new collaboration.
The collection is comprised of a pair of T-shirts, each of which feature key visuals from the first and second volumes of Tomie printed on the front. To retain the graphic's bewitching expression, colors and the atmosphere of Ito's original work, the design was placed using traditional silkscreen printing. In addition, the font for the Tomie logo is one that's not normally used in the series, while the name on the collar is signed the artist himself.
To celebrate the release, Ito will be holding a live drawing session at the Rose Bakery on the seventh floor of Dover Street Market Ginza on November 28. Although applications to join this event have already closed, fans will still get a chance to see the work created when it gets exhibited in the store on November 30.
The Junji Ito x Weber Tomie collaboration will be available for presale on the sixth floor of Dover Street Market Ginza on November 30, and then on the weber webstore on December 1 for ¥11,000 JPY (approximately $70 USD).
