’s pregnancy has been a blessing for her and fiancé ’s relationship.
“They are both thrilled and excited to be parents together,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “The pregnancy is bringing them closer.”
Fox, 38, announced that she is expecting her and MGK’s first child together after she revealed last year that she suffered a miscarriage. As the actress and MGK, 34, struggled with the loss, the couple, who have been dating since 2020, went through a series of relationship woes.
“Nothing is ever really lost,” Fox wrote via Instagram on Monday, November 11, alongside a photo showing off her baby bump. “Welcome back 👼🏼❤️.”
As Fox and MGK (real name Colson Baker) have worked on their issues, a second insider shares that the exciting news has put them “on a much better path in their relationship.”
“They’ve always been rocky and had their ups and downs,” a second source adds. “But they have been proactive in therapy and very spiritual and honest with one another.”
The insider notes that MGK “has made some huge life changes to be the best partner and parent that he can be.”
According to a third source, both Fox and MGK “are so happy and excited” to expand their family and feel that the pregnancy has breathed new life into their romance.
“They feel this is a new chapter for their relationship and a second chance,” the insider tells Us. “They have gone through a lot together but feel a positive renewed energy and are in a good place right now.”
Parenthood isn’t a new role for either star. MGK, for his part, is father to 15-year-old daughter Casie, whom he shares with ex . Meanwhile, Fox shares sons Noah, 11, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7, with ex-husband . (Green, for his part, has moved on with fiancée , with whom he shares 2-year-old son Zane.)
MGK and Fox first connected while on set for their film Midnight in the Switchgrass. In January 2022, the rapper proposed but the pair have yet to walk down the aisle. In November 2023, Fox opened up about how her pregnancy loss put a strain on her and MGK’s relationship.
“I had never been through anything like that before in my life,” she said during a Good Morning America interview. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us, and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately and together and apart … trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”
