Pregnant and husband are celebrating a major relationship milestone.
“You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Duggar, 30, captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday, November 5. “The past 8 years with you has been the best adventure of my life. You are my best friend and answer my prayers. God is so kind to let me journey through life by your side.”
Alongside her sweet caption, Duggar shared one photo for each year that she and Vuolo, 37, have been together.
The couple had a whirlwind romance, meeting in 2015 and getting engaged the following year. Duggar and Vuolo were married by November 2016. They’ve since spoken candidly about the first year of their marriage being the hardest.
“I’m looking back eight years in [and] going, ‘That year was a breeze.’ … But then you [said] last night, ‘No, I think it was the hardest,’ and I think I agree with you,” Vuolo said during an episode of their “Jinger & Jeremy Podcast” in September. “We faced so much adjustment and so much change.”
Duggar clarified that the “adjustment challenges” were mainly on her end.
“We got along super well,” she explained to listeners. “I would say there were challenges just from me adjusting.”
The couple waited nearly two years to expand their family. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in July 2018 that they welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Felicity.
Their second daughter, Evangeline Jo, was born in November 2020. (Duggar revealed in May 2020 that she suffered a miscarriage after Felicity’s birth.)
Last month, Duggar announced that she and Vuolo are gearing up to welcome baby No. 3.
“We’re super excited,” she told People in an interview published on October 15. “I’m actually all about it. Especially in the heat the past few days, I think I’m not super big pregnant and so I’m not having to worry about the extra heat. I’m like, ‘Oh man, this is going to be such an awesome thing to go through pregnancy, not in the summer.’”
Vuolo recalled being “literally speechless” by the pregnancy news, even though it was something that they planned.
A YouTube video shared on their joint channel showed the moment Vuolo read his wife’s positive pregnancy test. Fans also got a chance to see the couple share their happy news with family.
When it comes to welcoming more kids in the future, that’s still up in the air for Duggar and Vuolo.
“I felt like I was set with two, but I don’t know. Three was kind of what we had always said was a really good number,” she told People. “So, three or four. I don’t know. But I think three is what I’m leaning towards right now.”
