The rumour mill is churning as Marcus Rashford nears an emotional Manchester United exit in the January transfer window, with a number of clubs linked with a swoop. Rashford is heavily expected to depart Old Trafford this month, likely on an initial loan, and reportedly boasts suitors in multiple countries.

In the Serie A, AC Milan are currently considered the favourites for the 27-year-old forward's signature after his representatives travelled to Italy for talks earlier this week.

Juventus, too, reportedly held discussions during that trip, as Thiago Motta eyes attacking reinforcements this winter.

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are also firmly in the frame, although German reports suggest Rashford's hefty salary makes the prospect a non-starter.

Meanwhile, it's claimed that Premier League clubs have been circling the wantaway England international with the view to a short-term deal.

Mail Sport report that Tottenham are keen to sign Rashford on loan until the end of the season, and there is now a further London presence in the race.

According to GIVEMESPORT, West Ham United are the latest club to weigh up an approach to start the Graham Potter era with a major coup.

The Hammers are said to sense that Rashford is more likely to make an overseas switch this month but have requested to be kept informed on the situation.

Rashford couldn't have got off to a better start after Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as boss, scoring in the first minute of his first game in charge at Ipswich Town - ultimately a 1-1 draw.

But the United No. 10 has dramatically fallen out of favour since, being snubbed in five of Amorim's last six matchday squads.

In the one exception, the Portuguese head coach ignored him on the bench as his side trailed 2-0 against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

He called on Alejandro Garnacho and Antony to make an impact instead, which felt like another nail in the coffin for Rashford at his boyhood club.

The academy graduate's relationship with supporters is dwindling over inconsistent form and off-field controversy since his career-best 30-goal 2022/23 season.

However, there is an overwhelming sense of sadness surrounding his imminent departure, simultaneous with a widespread acknowledgement that it's the best outcome for all parties.

Rashford has made 426 appearances for United since bursting onto the scene as a spirited teenager in 2016, scoring 138 goals and registering 63 assists.

He is the club's 13th all-time top goalscorer in all competitions - and just 12 away from breaching the top 10. His tally of 87 Premier League strikes ranks him eighth in that metric.
